AMA’s Marketing week recap

AMA’s annual Marketing Week brought five days of exciting events, where we hosted hands-on workshops, creative challenges, and networking opportunities for all students to join. We hope we helped you form new ideas, build your brand, and connect with fellow students. Here’s a breakdown of our events.

October 19: Portfolio Planning with Gemini

After a small presentation that gave us an overview of how Google Gemini provides a positive impact for those around us, Dalihcie Inga, our Google Campus Ambassador helped us build a portfolio that showcases personal brand and organizes your experience using Gemini. This was especially helpful for students looking to showcase projects and build a professional portfolio website to ace their next internship interview!

October 20: Campaign Pitch-Off with Easy Meets

As we continued Marketing Week, we had the exciting opportunity to learn about Easy Meets, a start-up company. We spoke with a representative for the brand and learned about how the brand works. Then we put our skills in an interactive, zero-budget marketing experience. We teamed up with peers to design a creative campaign. The winning group all secured an internship, congrats!

October 21: Oddly Perfect Together with Marketers of Baruch

Have you ever wondered what happens when you mix two completely different brands into a single campaign?  We all participated in a collaboration workshop as you design a visual-forward, outside-the-box brand partnership campaign (ex; McDonalds x Spotify, Roblox x Victoria’s Secret)

October 22: Pumpkin Picasso Fest with Pentel

We took a break from midterm studies to de-stress and get creative. Students tested out vibrant Pentel markers from our ambassador with a blind drawing challenge on activity cards, followed by pumpkin decorating, free product samples, and community connection.

October 23: AMA’s Regional Conference @ Pace University

We wrapped the week up by heading over to Pace University for a collaborative Regional Conference filled with entertaining workshops, insightful panels, and fantastic networking opportunities with fellow industry-bound marketers. On top of the very exciting events, students who attended Marketing Week were given a chance to enter daily prize raffles featuring goodies like Apple AirPods, JBL portable speakers, Arc'teryx backpacks, skincare products from Good Molecules, Owala water bottles, gift cards, and more! Thank you all for attending.
